Re-enabling recording for a session

Sometimes a video session is scheduled without a meeting link — automatic recording can't then be prepared. When the link becomes available again, Klarity offers to re-enable recording for those sessions in one click, without recreating them.

Understanding why a session isn't recordable

An upcoming video session is only recordable if a meeting link is resolved at booking time. If no channel was available — for example a Google Meet type while your Google Calendar wasn't connected yet, or a Zoom / Teams type without a room link — the session is marked as not recordable ("missing link").

On such a session's file, a Not recorded — missing video link badge flags it, along with an action to set up the channel. An equivalent badge (Not recorded · missing link) also appears when you hover over the session in the agenda.

This situation is recoverable: as soon as the channel becomes available again, there's nothing to redo by hand — Klarity detects the affected sessions and offers to re-enable them.

Re-enabling recording from the agenda

When a channel becomes available again (you just connected Google Calendar, or added a room link to a session type), Klarity shows a banner at the top of the Agenda indicating how many upcoming sessions can be recorded again.

  1. In Agenda › My agenda, spot the banner that shows the number of upcoming sessions that can now be recorded and click Enable recording.

Enable recording banner

  1. The dialog lists the affected sessions. Choose Enable all to re-enable them all, or check only some sessions then Enable selection.
  2. Klarity confirms activation. Recording will start on the day of each session, provided the client has given their consent.

The dialog opens automatically when you return from a successful Google Calendar connection or after adding a channel to a session type. You can also reopen it at any time via the banner as long as there are still sessions to re-enable.

Re-enabled recording remains subject to the client's consent: without consent, the session takes place but isn't recorded. It also only concerns upcoming sessions — a session already past can't be recorded retroactively.

Setting up the missing channel

If no banner appears, it means the channel isn't resolved yet. Open the affected session: the button under the Not recorded — missing video link badge points you depending on the session type's platform.

  • Google MeetConnect Google Calendar (from the Availability tab, Google Calendar card).
  • Zoom / Microsoft TeamsAdd a room link to the affected session type.

Once the channel is added, go back to the agenda: the re-enable banner appears.

💡 Tip: connect Google Calendar right from your setup. Your future Meet sessions will be recordable straight away, without going through this re-enable step.
