The app displays oddly or misbehaves

Labels in a strange language, a button that does nothing, a download that never starts, the help bubble gone? When Klarity behaves "oddly", the cause is almost always a browser setting or extension interfering with the page. Here are the usual suspects, from most to least frequent.

Texts are mangled or in a strange language

Suspect #1 is the browser's automatic translation (Chrome above all): it rewrites the interface's texts and produces inconsistent labels, absurd button captions, even screens that break on click.

  1. Look for the translation icon in the address bar: if the page is translated, choose Show original (or "Never translate this site").
  2. To change Klarity's actual language, don't go through the browser's translation: the interface exists in French and English, set via the Your language field in Settings › Profile & account.

Automatic translation is the most frequent cause of "broken" screens reported to support — and the most invisible: think of it whenever a text looks strange.

A download won't start

Klarity's downloads (booklet PDF, session exports, data exports) open on click. If nothing happens:

  1. Check whether your browser shows a blocked pop-up icon in the address bar (Chrome/Firefox): click it and allow pop-ups and redirects for the Klarity site, then retry the download.
  2. On Safari, check Safari › Settings › Websites › Pop-up Windows for the site.
  3. Check the browser's download manager: the file is sometimes already downloaded, without a visible notification.

A button or screen doesn't respond

  1. Reload the page (a stale version of the app can stay loaded after an update).
  2. Test in private browsing: if everything works there, the culprit is an extension (ad blocker, privacy shield, over-eager password manager…). Re-enable your extensions one by one to identify the guilty one, then add the Klarity site to its exception list.
  3. Clear the browser cache for the site if the problem persists.

Strict blockers (uBlock, Ghostery, Brave Shields…) can also hide the help bubble at the bottom of the screen (the support chat): if it vanished, same diagnosis — test in private browsing.

Reminder: the right browser

Klarity is built for Google Chrome, Mozilla Firefox and Safari (on Mac), kept up to date. On another browser, or an old version, display and audio glitches can appear with no other cause. When in doubt, the first test is always the same: try one of the recommended browsers.

💡 Tip: the "private browsing + recommended browser" combo clears (or convicts) your environment in one minute. If the problem persists under those conditions, it's probably real: report it via the help bubble, mentioning your browser and system.
