Manage or cancel your subscription
You stay in control of your subscription at all times: payment method, status and cancellation are all managed from Plan & billing. Cancellation follows a multi-step flow that lets you discover alternatives before you confirm.
Managing your subscription
In Plan & billing, the Overview tab brings the essentials together: your current plan, your status (Active, Trial, Payment pending, Paused or Cancellation scheduled) and the date of your next charge. To change card or download your invoices (FR VAT-compliant), use the Invoices & payment method card and its Open Stripe portal button (secure Stripe portal).
Understanding cancellation
Cancelling stops the charges without deleting your account or your data. You keep full access until the end of the period already paid for. After that, your data (clients, sessions, summaries, smart memory) is kept for 30 days, during which you can reactivate your account in one click and get everything back. Beyond that, it is permanently deleted (right to erasure, GDPR).
Cancelling your subscription
- From Plan & billing, on the Overview tab, click Cancel my subscription to start the cancellation flow. It has 4 steps — Reason, Offer, Talk, Confirmation — but some adapt to your situation (see below).
- Reason — tell us why you're cancelling (you can pick several). Your feedback helps improve Klarity. On this step and the following ones, the Cancel directly link takes you straight to the confirmation, skipping the offers.
- Offer — depending on the reason chosen and what your account allows, Klarity may offer you an alternative to stay (see the next section). You can always decline with No thanks, continue cancelling.
- Talk — the team may offer you a 15-minute call (no commitment) via the Book a meeting button. Otherwise, choose No thanks, continue.
- Confirmation — the screen recaps your access-end date and what happens to your data. You can Export my data now and tick Send me a reminder email before my data is permanently deleted, then Confirm cancellation. If you change your mind, Actually, I'll stay cancels everything.
The alternatives to cancelling
At the Offer step, Klarity suggests the option best suited to your reason, rather than leaving. Depending on your situation, only one will be shown:
- Pause Klarity — suspend your subscription for 1 to 2 months: no charge during the pause, and you keep read-only access to your data. Click Pause for [N] months to apply it. Billing resumes automatically at the end of the chosen period — and you can come out of the pause whenever you want (see below).
- A temporary discount — a reduction applied to your next payments, so you have time to assess Klarity's value. The details (discounted price, savings, duration) appear before you confirm; click Accept the discount.
- A trial extension — offered only if you're still on your Trial: a few extra days, on us, with no card and no commitment. Click Get [N] extra trial days.
- A roadmap preview — if a feature is missing, Klarity shows you what's in the works. You can Continue my free trial if one of them meets your need.
- Contact support — if your reason is a technical issue, the team can step in quickly: the Contact support button opens a conversation without going through cancellation.
Coming out of a pause: the Resume button
A paused subscription is never locked: you can reactivate it at any time, without waiting for the chosen period to end.
- Open Plan & billing, on the Overview tab. Your status shows Paused, with the note Subscription paused — billing on hold (or the automatic-resume date if it's known).
- Click Resume my subscription now. While it processes, the button reads Resuming….
- Once the resume is confirmed, your status returns to Active and billing restarts immediately.
