Manage or cancel your subscription

You stay in control of your subscription at all times: payment method, status and cancellation are all managed from Plan & billing. Cancellation follows a multi-step flow that lets you discover alternatives before you confirm.

Managing your subscription

In Plan & billing, the Overview tab brings the essentials together: your current plan, your status (Active, Trial, Payment pending, Paused or Cancellation scheduled) and the date of your next charge. To change card or download your invoices (FR VAT-compliant), use the Invoices & payment method card and its Open Stripe portal button (secure Stripe portal).

Understanding cancellation

Cancelling stops the charges without deleting your account or your data. You keep full access until the end of the period already paid for. After that, your data (clients, sessions, summaries, smart memory) is kept for 30 days, during which you can reactivate your account in one click and get everything back. Beyond that, it is permanently deleted (right to erasure, GDPR).

Cancelling your subscription

  1. From Plan & billing, on the Overview tab, click Cancel my subscription to start the cancellation flow. It has 4 stepsReason, Offer, Talk, Confirmation — but some adapt to your situation (see below).
  2. Reason — tell us why you're cancelling (you can pick several). Your feedback helps improve Klarity. On this step and the following ones, the Cancel directly link takes you straight to the confirmation, skipping the offers.
  3. Offer — depending on the reason chosen and what your account allows, Klarity may offer an option to stay: pause the subscription, a temporary discount, a trial extension (if you're still on a trial), or a preview of the roadmap if a feature is missing. You can decline with No thanks, continue cancelling.
  4. Talk — the team may offer you a 15-minute call (no commitment). Otherwise, continue.
  5. Confirmation — the screen recaps your access-end date and what happens to your data. You can Export my data now and ask for a reminder email before permanent deletion, then Confirm cancellation.

Good to know: the Offer step only appears if a proposal is available for you. If no retention option applies (based on your reason and your account), Klarity goes straight to Talk then Confirmation.

After confirmation, your status becomes Cancellation scheduled: you keep access until the stated date, with no new charge. You can reactivate the subscription from Overview as long as the period hasn't elapsed.

💡 Tip: cancelling doesn't delete your account. To permanently erase your account and your data, that's a separate step (see the article below).
