The privacy of your client data
Klarity is a French tool, built for the GDPR. This article recaps what is kept, for how long, and the associated guarantees — enough to answer a client's questions with confidence.
Understanding where to look
All this information and your rights are managed from Settings › Privacy & GDPR. You'll find four blocks there: Your data (what is stored), Data retention (retention periods), AI improvement (your contribution to response quality) and Export my data.
Your data
- Profile and account — your identity, email, settings.
- Client files — the longitudinal history of your clients.
- Transcripts and summaries — added to your smart memory.
- Enrichment notes — your annotations per client and per session.
- Consent logs — the traceability of agreements.
Data retention
- Transcripts and summaries — engagement duration.
- Memory Chat history — configurable duration, shown in the block.
- Consent logs — engagement + 5 years (GDPR obligation).
- Session audio — deleted as soon as the transcription is validated (a few minutes after the session). Firm GDPR guarantee.
AI improvement
When you rate an AI response (the 👍 / 👎 thumb under a session summary or a Memory Chat message), this feedback helps our team spot the responses worth improving. The AI improvement block controls this contribution via the Contribute to improving Klarity's AI option, enabled by default.
- Enabled — your 👍/👎 votes reach the Klarity team, anonymized, to measure and adjust response quality.
- Disabled — your votes have no effect on Klarity's side; you keep seeing the buttons, but nothing is transmitted.
Your rights
From the Export my data block, you can generate an export (right to portability): a ZIP file containing all your data is sent to you by email (within 24 hours maximum). If an export is already ready, you can download it directly.
