The AI-generated session summary

After each captured session, Klarity generates a structured summary that you can review, adjust and keep in the client's memory. It's the heart of the AI deliverables: it feeds future briefings and Memory Chat.

Understanding the summary

The summary is organized into sections — their number, order and titles are defined by the AI template attached to the session type (for example Key points, Emotions, Commitments, Next steps). Each section renders its content according to its format: bulleted list, paragraphs, or commitments with a due date. The summary becomes available once the session is in the Summary ready · editable state.

You choose the frame for your summaries in AI templates: that's where you define the expected sections. The Customize template link, at the top of the tab, opens the right template directly.

Reading the summary

  1. On the session page, open the Summary tab.
  2. The summary appears under the Session summary heading, with metadata (minutes recorded, words transcribed, number of sections). For a manual session, a Based on your manual notes badge replaces this metadata.

Who wrote what: AI or you

On a recorded session, a small legend distinguishes what was Written by AI (text in gray) from what you Rewrote by you (text in black). This way you can spot your own contributions at a glance. Some list items also carry a Verbatim (quoted as is) or Coach (your interpretation) badge. This distinction doesn't appear on manual sessions, where everything is written by you.

Editing the summary

As long as the session is Summary ready · editable, the Edit button opens Edit the summary: you can add, remove and reorder sections as well as items. Your changes replace the AI-generated content. Once the session is Summary locked, the button disappears and the summary can no longer be edited.

To share the summary elsewhere, the Copy as Markdown action (header More actions menu) copies the summary to the clipboard.

Rating the summary's quality

Below the summary, the question "Was this synthesis helpful?" offers a thumbs 👍 or 👎. Your feedback helps improve the AI. A negative rating opens a short choice of reason (optional). Manual sessions, written by you, aren't affected by this vote.

💡 Tip: the session audio is deleted as soon as the transcription is validated (a few minutes after the session) — a GDPR guarantee. Only the summary and the text transcript are kept.
