Understanding groups and companies
Groups and companies help you structure your practice beyond one-to-one coaching: bringing several clients together for group sessions and gathering the clients of a single organization. Here's how the two ideas fit together.
Groups and companies: two distinct uses
A group gathers several clients for your group sessions (workshops, peer coaching…). Once the group is created, you pick it when scheduling to prefill the participant list automatically — no need to re-enter them from one session to the next.
A company is your B2B directory: you attach the clients and groups of a single organization to keep the context of your engagements. It's the right place to find everything about a given client in one spot.
The two complement each other: a company sets the organizational frame, a group concretely organizes a group session. A group can be attached to a company, but it doesn't have to be.
Where to find them
Everything lives on a single page, reachable from the My groups entry in the sidebar.
Two tabs split the page:
- Groups — the list of your client groups, with the name, the attached company and the number of clients.
- Companies — the list of your organizations, with the name, the location and the number of attached clients.
What depends on your plan
Group sessions are reserved for the Professional plan and above. In practice:
- On Starter (or an expired trial), the My groups entry stays visible and you can view groups and their pages. However, creating a group, scheduling a group session and cloning a group show a lock icon and open an upgrade window when clicked.
- On Professional and above, all these actions are available.
- Companies are unlimited, whatever your plan: creating, editing and attaching them requires no upgrade.
