Create and manage a group
A group gathers several clients for your group sessions: create it once, reuse it every time you schedule. Here's how to create, edit, clone and delete one.
Before you start
Creating and managing groups is part of group sessions, reserved for the Professional plan and above. On Starter (or an expired trial), the Create a group button shows a lock icon and opens an upgrade window when clicked. You can still view existing groups.
Create a group
- From My groups › Groups, click Create a group. A side panel opens on the right.
- Fill in the Group name (required, 80 characters max). It's the only required field — for example: "Codev group A".
- Pick a Company (optional) from the dropdown to attach the group to an organization. By default, the group stays No company. You can create a company on the fly from this selector.
- Add the Clients to the group. Search each client by name; if a client doesn't exist yet, create them without leaving the panel.
- Click Save. The group appears in the list and a Group created. message confirms the action.
If the name is empty, the message Give this group a name. shows below the field. If a group already has that name, you'll see This group name is already in use. Please choose another.
Edit a group
- Open the group's page, then click Edit. The same panel opens, prefilled.
- Adjust the name, the company or the client list.
- Click Save.
If your change affects the client list and upcoming sessions are involved, an Apply the client list change? window appears. Two choices:
- Apply to upcoming sessions — the new list replaces the participants of the sessions not yet held.
- Keep sessions as they are — the already-scheduled sessions keep their original list.
Clone a group
Cloning creates a new group from an existing one, handy to start again from the same client list.
- On the group's page, open the More actions menu, then click Clone group.
- An information window recalls what's copied: the clone only copies the name, company and client list. Past sessions, syntheses, notes and the group's memory are not copied.
- Confirm with Clone group. The new group takes the original name followed by "(copy)".
Like creation, cloning is part of group sessions: it's locked (lock icon) outside the Professional plan.
Delete a group
- Open the group's page, go to the Settings tab, then to the deletion zone.
- Click Permanently delete and confirm.
