Finding and managing your conversations

Every conversation you have with Memo is kept. The Conversations page gathers all your past exchanges in one place: you can find a discussion, reopen it, sort it, search it by keyword — and delete the ones you no longer need.

Understanding the Conversations page

The Conversations page (/chat/history) is the full-screen view of your history. Where the chat's side rail only shows your most recent discussions, this page lists them all, as a paginated table, with search, filters and bulk deletion.

Each row is one conversation and reads across five columns:

  • Favorite — the ⭐ star you set on the conversation. Click it to add or remove the discussion from your favorites.
  • Title — the conversation title (generated from your first question, or the one you entered).
  • Mode — the mode the discussion took place in: Client, Practice, Pilot, Group or Company.
  • Client — the client concerned, for a Client mode conversation.
  • Date — the date of the conversation.

The table is sorted and paginated server-side: sorting a column or changing pages reloads the list without losing your place.

The two ways to reach your history

You open the Conversations page from Memory Chat in two ways:

  • From the foot of the conversations side rail: click View all history.
  • From the history options menu (the History options button, at the top of the rail): it offers View all history and Delete all history (see below).

Finding a conversation

  1. Open the Conversations page from either access above.
  2. For a free search, type in the Search conversations… field at the top: the list filters as you type.
  3. To target a mode, use the All modes filter and pick the mode you want.
  4. To target a person, use the All clients filter (search via Search a client…).
  5. To see only your starred discussions, turn on the Favorites filter.
  6. Click a row to reopen the conversation in Memory Chat and continue the exchange.

If no conversation matches your filters, a No matching conversation state appears with a Reset filters button to return to the full list.

Renaming or deleting a conversation

Each row has an actions menu (the icon at the end of the row):

  • Rename — opens the Rename conversation box to give it a clearer title.
  • Delete — deletes the conversation after confirmation.

Deleting several conversations at once

  1. Top right, click Select to enter selection mode.
  2. Tick the conversations to delete, or click Select page to tick the whole displayed page.
  3. Click Delete (the button shows the selected count): the confirmation box opens.
  4. Confirm with Delete.
  5. To leave without deleting anything, click Exit selection.

Deletion is permanent: the conversations and all their messages are deleted with no way back.

Deleting all history at once

To start fresh, the History options menu (at the top of the side rail) offers Delete all history. A Delete all history? box reminds you how many conversations are affected; confirm with Delete all.

Delete all history wipes every conversation and all their messages at once. The action is permanent and irreversible — there's no trash bin. To remove only some discussions, prefer the bulk deletion above.

When the history is empty

As long as you haven't started any discussion, the page shows No conversation yet with a Start a conversation button that takes you back to Memory Chat to ask your first question.

💡 Tip: star ⭐ your reference conversations (a go-to prep, an analysis you re-run): they rise to the top of the side rail and are one click away via the Favorites filter.
