Connect your calendar (Google, Outlook)
The Connectors screen links Klarity to your external tools. Today it is mainly used to connect your calendar — Google Calendar or Outlook — so your existing events automatically block your public slots and prevent double bookings.
Understanding Connectors
Open Settings › Connectors (Settings left menu). The first block, Calendar sync, offers two cards: Google Calendar and Outlook / Microsoft 365. The sync is two-way: events from your external calendar block your public slots, and every session created in Klarity is added to your calendar. It runs automatically every 5 minutes.
Connecting a calendar also brings automatic video links: on the Google side, a Google Meet link is generated for every booking, nothing to paste by hand; on the Outlook side, a Microsoft Teams link is generated automatically only on a work or school account (see the dedicated section below).
Connect a calendar
- Open Settings › Connectors and locate the Calendar sync block.
- On the card you want, click Connect Google Calendar (or Connect Outlook / Microsoft 365). You are redirected to the provider's authorization page.
- Sign in and accept the requested access. You then return to Klarity, where a message confirms the connection.
- The card now shows Connected · your email and an Active status. The first sync starts automatically.
Outlook accounts: work/school vs personal
The automatic video link depends on the type of Outlook account you connect. Once Outlook is connected, the card shows the detected type below your email:
- Work or school account (Microsoft 365 Business / Enterprise) — a Microsoft Teams link is generated automatically for every booking, nothing to paste by hand.
- Personal account (Outlook.com) — no automatic Teams link. To offer video, you must paste a room link on the session type (Teams, Zoom or other).
On the Google Calendar side, the Google Meet link is always generated automatically for every booking, whatever your account.
Sync on demand
Syncing is automatic, but you can force it if you have just changed your external calendar and want to see the result right away.
- On the connected calendar's card, click Sync.
- The button shows Syncing, then a Sync complete message confirms it finished. The Last sync date updates.
If the sync detects an overlap between an external event and a session, the card flags one or more conflicts detected and invites you to check your calendar. The card status may also switch to Partial sync or Sync failed; in that case click Sync again, and if the error persists, disconnect then reconnect the calendar.
Disconnect a calendar
- On the connected calendar's card, click Disconnect.
- Confirm in the window that opens. External events are removed from your agenda and Klarity's access to your calendar is revoked immediately.
Once disconnected, the other calendar becomes available to connect again.
Suggest a connector
Missing a tool (CRM, billing, mailbox…)? At the bottom of the screen, the Suggest a connector button opens an idea pre-tagged as "Connectors". Describe the integration you'd like: the most-voted requests shape our roadmap.
