Security best practices
Klarity secures your access in the background, but protecting your data and your clients' data also depends on a few simple day-to-day reflexes. Here are the habits that make the difference.
Understanding your role in security
The data you handle is sensitive: coaching histories, transcripts, personal notes. Even with encrypted connections and protected sessions, the most exposed link is often access to your account. Securing your account means securing all of your clients in a single move.
Protecting your account
- A strong, unique password — long, specific to Klarity, never reused on another service. You change it from Settings › Profile & account, section Password.
- Sign out of shared devices — on a public or borrowed computer, use Log out rather than simply closing the tab.
- Keep your email up to date — it's the channel for password resets and confirmations. You change it in Settings › Profile & account, section Login email.
- Be wary of links — Klarity will never ask you for your password by email. If you have any doubt about a message, don't click and log in directly from the site.
Protecting your clients' data
- Always collect consent before recording a session — it's the legal basis for processing and a safeguard for both you and the client.
- Check what is captured — Review before locking the summary (in Settings › Sessions & memory) keeps the summary editable during the enrichment window before locking it: it's your chance to re-read what goes into the memory and make sure nothing unexpected was kept.
When in doubt
If you suspect unauthorized access to your account, change your password immediately (this signs out the other sessions) then contact support.
