How Klarity protects your data

Security and privacy are at the heart of Klarity: your sessions and your clients' sessions are among the most sensitive data there is. This article recaps, without jargon, what Klarity puts in place to protect them.

Understanding data protection in Klarity

Klarity stores a coaching memory for you: client records, transcripts, summaries, enrichment notes. This data serves only your practice — it is never resold, shared, or used for any other purpose. Protection rests on three pillars: limiting what is kept, securing access, and recording only with the consent of the person being coached.

The key guarantees

  • Audio is deleted quickly — a session's audio recording is erased as soon as the transcription is validated, a few minutes after the session. Only the text (transcript) and the summary are kept.
  • Data for your exclusive use — your sessions, summaries and notes belong to you and serve only your coaching memory.
  • Built-in consent — no session capture is possible without the prior agreement of the person being coached, collected via the Klarity consent form.
  • Encrypted connections — the exchanges between your browser and Klarity are encrypted (HTTPS).
  • Protected sessions — your login session is secured against theft, and changing your password automatically signs out your other open sessions.
  • Controlled retention periods — each type of data has a defined duration, compliant with the GDPR (see the Data retention section).

On the client side

Your clients benefit from a clear framework: a standardized, legally validated consent text, and the ability to withdraw their agreement at any time. As long as a client has not consented, none of their sessions are recorded.

💡 Tip: find the details of the data kept and its retention periods in Settings › Privacy & GDPR, section Data retention.
