# Enriching a session

Enriching a session means adding your own observations — impressions, hypotheses, points to dig into — that don't appear in the transcription. These notes are integrated into the final summary and feed the client's memory.

# Understanding enrichment

Enrichment is only possible while the session is **Summary ready · editable**. Your observations are marked as coming from you, then the summary is regenerated to include them. The window during which you can enrich is set in **Settings › Sessions & memory** (**Enrichment window**); the session banner shows the time remaining.

# Adding an enrichment

1. On the session page, open the **Enrich** tab, titled **Enrich the summary**.
2. Type your observations into the field.
3. Click **Save and integrate**: the note is added and the summary starts regenerating. The page updates automatically.

## Dictate instead of typing

You don't have to type everything on the keyboard. The **Dictate** button (microphone icon) below the field records your voice and inserts it, transcribed, at the cursor position — without erasing what you'd already written. Handy right after a session, to capture a fresh impression without stopping to type.

| The first time you use it, your browser asks for permission to access the microphone: click **Allow**. Dictation stops automatically after a few minutes; you can also click **Stop dictation** at any time. The text is only saved once you confirm with **Save and integrate**.

|| Once the session is **Summary locked**, the summary is frozen: your next notes become standalone annotations in the client file's **Notes** tab, without changing this session's summary. A **This summary is locked** callout reminds you, with a direct link to the client's Notes tab.

| If summary regeneration fails after saving, a message tells you that **your note was saved** and the previous summary is kept: you lose nothing, just try again later.

# Enriching a session vs. client Notes

- **Enrich** — observations tied to *this session*, that complete its summary and feed the memory.
- **Notes** (client file tab) — more general annotations about the client, independent of any session.

| 💡 **Tip:** a few lines of enrichment after each session are enough to make the following briefings noticeably more useful.
