# Creating your Google Business profile

A **Google Business profile** (the business listing that shows in Google and Google Maps) lets new clients find you, read your reviews and **book directly** through your Klarity page. It's **free** and takes a few minutes to create.

# Why a Google Business profile

When someone searches "coach" near them or types your name, this profile is what appears on the right of Google (and on Maps). It gathers your business, your hours, your website, your **reviews**, and a **booking link** — that of your Klarity public page. It's one of the simplest acquisition channels for a solo coach.

|| The Google Business profile (formerly **Google My Business**) is **100% free** and has **nothing to do with Google Ads** (paid advertising). You don't pay anything to be present.

| Good to know: Klarity doesn't create the profile for you — it's created at Google. Klarity gives you the **booking link** to add to it, from the **Showcase on Google** card in **Agenda › Public booking page**.

# Creating your profile step by step

1. Go to **business.google.com** and sign in with your **Google account** (create one if needed).
2. Enter the **name of your business** as your clients know you (your name or your practice's name).
3. Choose a relevant **business category** (e.g. *Life coach*, *Professional coach*, *Consultant*). You'll be able to add others later.
4. Indicate your **location**:
   - **No public address** (you receive clients by video or at their place): choose the "**I serve customers at their location**" / service area option, and fill in the cities covered. Your home address stays hidden.
   - **With a practice**: enter the address — it will show on the profile and on Maps.
5. Add your **contact details**: phone and, in the **Website** field, paste your **Klarity booking link** (see next section).
6. **Verify your profile**: Google checks that the business is really yours (by phone, email, video or mail depending on the case). As long as the profile isn't verified, it doesn't appear publicly.

| Complete the profile after verification (description, hours, photos): a complete profile ranks better and inspires more trust.

# Adding your Klarity booking link

Your Klarity public page acts as a **booking button** from Google.

1. In Klarity, open **Agenda › Public booking page** and check that the **page is active**.
2. In the **Showcase on Google** card, click **Copy** (the booking link `…/coach/your-name`).
3. On your Google Business profile, paste this link in the **Website** field and, if offered, in **Appointment links**.

|| **Don't** wait for the blue "**Book with Google**" button: it's reserved for partners integrated into that program, which Klarity isn't. Your Klarity link works perfectly as a regular **website / appointment link** — the client lands on your booking page and picks their slot.

| If the **Showcase on Google** card invites you to activate your public page first, it means your booking page is disabled or has no URL: activate it on the same page (see Activating and sharing your public booking page).

# Collecting Google reviews

Reviews strongly reinforce your profile. Klarity can **automatically invite** your clients to leave one.

1. Get your **review collection link** from your Google profile ("Get more reviews" option → link to share, of the form `https://g.page/r/.../review`).
2. In **Settings › Reviews**, paste it in the **Google review link** field, then **Save**.
3. Once filled in, the **report email** sent after a session includes a **Leave a Google review** button — with nothing more to do each time. **Remove** disables the option.

|| The report email goes to **all** your clients: don't only solicit satisfied clients, it's against Google's review rules.

| 💡 **Tip:** ask for the review right after a successful session, when satisfaction is highest. The Klarity report email does it at the right moment for you.
