# Account security (password, email)

Your email address and your password are your keys to Klarity. You can update them at any time from your settings, without going through support.

# Where to manage your account security

Everything is in **Settings › Profile & account** (Settings left menu), further down the page: the **Login email** block then the **Password** block.

| Good to know: if you sign in via an external provider (Google, for example), the password and email are managed from that provider. Klarity then indicates this in the relevant block, in place of the input fields.

# Change your password

1. In the **Password** block, enter your **Current password**.
2. Enter the **New password** (at least 8 characters) then **Confirm new password**. A strength indicator guides you.
3. In each field, the eye icon lets you **show or hide** what you type.
4. Click **Change my password**.

|| For security, changing your password **logs out your other open sessions** (other devices, other browsers). You will stay logged in on the device used for the change.

# Change your email address

1. In the **Login email** block, click **Edit**.
2. Enter your **New email** and your **Current password** to confirm your identity.
3. Confirm: a **confirmation link** is sent to the new address. The change only takes effect once that link is clicked.

A **Verified** / **Not verified** badge indicates the state of your current address next to the email.

# Forgotten password

Can't log in anymore? From the login screen, use **Forgot password** to receive a reset link by email.

| 💡 **Tip:** choose a long, unique password, specific to Klarity. It's your first line of defense — a password manager saves you from having to remember it.
